When did Alpha Blur (Compiz) start working with the ATI Catalyst driver?

And why didn't anyone tell me? I am using the ATI 9.11 driver and I just activated the Blur in CCSM and it works now. :D Last time I tried it (not sure what driver) all transparent stuff would just turn black.

Never noticed this in any driver changelogs.
