Hi all

I have a Xerox Phaser Mpf3200 laser printer. When I connected it to my pc Ubuntu recognized it and it seemed if all drivers where installed when I checked printer config options. However, when I tried to print a page it continuously printed incomprehensible pages and I took the pages out the printer to stop printing garbage.

The printer does come with drivers for Linux, but only for Red Hat and Fedora.

Thanks!

hallo en welkom,

you can get the ppd from the xerox site: http://www.support.xerox.com/go/getfile.asp?Xlang=en_US&XCntry=USA&objid=61334&EULA=1&prodID=3200MFP&Family=Phaser&ripId=&langs=English%20(US)&plats=Linux&Xtype=download&uType=

i believe that's all you require using cups.
otherwise, download the generic driver installer for linux here: http://www.support.xerox.com/go/getfile.asp?Xlang=en_US&XCntry=USA&objid=61732&EULA=1&prodID=3200MFP&Family=Phaser&ripId=&langs=English%20(US)&plats=Linux&Xtype=download&uType=
