I wanted to run ubuntu off a flash drive so today I went out and bought a 32g flash drive and used the flash start up creator in ubuntu. Then I plugged it into my wife's computer and started it off the usb. It seems that it's just like running ubuntu off the live cd without install. I can't download any drivers or save any documents. Is this the case? I bought such a large drive because I wanted to run ubuntu off the flash drive and use it like a normal hard disc. Can this not be done with the ubuntu flash drive app? Is there another app that will work for me? I was reading about pendrive linux. Is this what I need to install so i can use my flash drive almost like a mini computer that will save all my setting and downloads? Sorry if this is a bit basic. I'm new to ubuntu and pretty ignorant aboutt his new to me operating system.
