hard to be excited about something that can't yet be tried. (I use kubuntu)

I'll poast about it this weekend. The 4.4 final is due out Monday or Tuesday, and we Archer folks usually get our hands on KDE finals before the official release announcement is even posted. :)

I am really excited! Can't wait for the final release, looks really great.

Oh,and I am running Kubuntu and I'm normally able to test betas and RC's. You just have to be willing to put up with a little chaos in your software sources. ;)

I was so excited about KDE 4, 4.1, 4.2 .. I loved KDE.. stopped using after that .. switched to Windows 7 .. I'm tempted to try the Live CD just to see how much has changed in KDE ..

i always go for the betas since i simply CANT wait for the release. Ive heard they might not release RC3 for kubuntu which sucks :(

It's already in Lucid Lynx:

Can't wait to try final when it's out. I've been testing the RC's on my Lucid test box, but can't use compositing on it since the box is a piece of junk.

Lots of config stuff got moved around, that'll take a little getting used to. The new Kwin features look brilliant, though.

Do you have RC3 yet? It hasn't hit my mirrors yet despite having [kde-unstable] enabled

edit: if yes what mirror are you using?

Just finished another 1 month stint with KDE. And as much as it is beautiful and clever I have had too many issues again. Maybe after the final of 4.4 I will try again, they do keep improving.

RC2 was buggy, but it was caused by buggy Qt 4.6.0.. Many things was fixed in 4.6.1 but packages is nowhere :( I don't know what is happening :D
