Okay, so here's my problem:

I have burned a CD with Ubuntu 9.10..

I have done the BIOS setting and it boots the CD first...

So I get to the Ubuntu-Menu, and I choose "Try Ubuntu without any changes to the computer"...

So it takes some time, and then boots up the Ubuntu screen...

Everything is fine, but as I click on any icon, the screen just refreshes and there's no reaction.

After some time, my computer overheats and shuts down... (this is not really the problem, but the part written in italic)

Thanks for your help!

Have you checked if the CD is good? I believe it's an option along with Try Ubuntu...

Do any other live CDs cause the same problem?

How much RAM/CPU do you have?

Thanks for the quick response, Sonic. I have 4 GB of RAM and CPU is enough too, I believe. Which option do you mean..? And I didn't burn any other Live CDs, do you think I should?

I had a similar problem with Kubuntu live CD about a month ago. I downloaded and burned another iso and it fixed the problem. Don't know why the first one didn't work but I can always use more coasters. Since that I have been running Ubuntu - I like it better.
