I want to do a "web browser only" installation so that I can limit the use of some PCs to just our internal webmail pages and our "print job release" software which is also web based. I'm going to use old laptops (so that I've got a screen and PC all in one unit) so the spec. isn't great but they're all P4s or Celerons so there should be no issue.

I'm not sure if it would be easier to net boot them to an x session where only firefox is "published" and to keep the configuration on a central "server". I've looked at LTSP in the past for delivering whole desktops but never just one application.

Anybody have any comments/recommendations/suggestions on this?

Chris

You might look out for a kiosk distribution. I never tried one, but I was in a similar situation. hope this helps.
