What is the "nicest" way to get a full install of the lightweight Xfce desktop in Ubuntu ?
Are there live versions of Xubuntu - do any fit on a 1 GB USB pendrive ?
Do people do a direct full install Xubuntu to a hard drive partition - or even a USB partition /hard drive ?
Or is the recommended . . . and a bit messy but OK . . . only way to have a Xfce desktop
is by first fully installing Ubuntu (or Kubuntu) -
and then apt-get remove out all the gnome or kde desktop envirinment files,
as this link suggests . . .http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/purexfcejaunty
What is your experience ?
Thank you very much.
