so i installed xubuntu on gfs laptop- Toshiba satellite 1.6 ghz-Made for Vista bout 2 years old has 512mb ram pleanty of hard drive space but when its starting up it seems to stall about 1/8 of the way then goes to a screen that says--
READING FILES TO BOOT... --OK
PREPARING RESTRICTED DRIVERS... ---OK
SETTING THE SYSTEM CLOCK...
STARTING BASIC NETWORK...
so am i right to think that the clock is some how affecting its loading??
any help would be great
