hi ppl,
I am an under graduate student from India. We have to buy laptops this year in our college. the suggested laptops are here (http://laptop4iiitian.blogspot.com)
Plz help me choose a laptop which best suits a student and ofcourse ubuntu....

Hi Pranith,

It might be helpful if you tell us what you intend using it for? Word Processing and internet? Or much more.....?

You WILL want to upgrade the RAM though... 256 isn't very much..

what I dont understand is which company to choose from them :(

@pranith try here http://www.pricewatch.com/m-79.htm theres a long list of notebook mem, and prices and speeds. ie: pc2100 2700 ddr2 if thats what your laptop needs.
