After upgrading to 9.10 HP Printer C7200 is recognized but doesn't work.
get message ""printer State" Idle-/usr/lib/cups/backend/upfailed
Have tried to rectify without success. Any way of sorting this would be appreciated as a lot of my use of Ubuntu depends on usable printer.

System/Admin/Printer
Select new printer/ choose printer/driver, right click on icon set as default, test if it works,
if it does delete other printer. Leaving new one as default.

Just checking that selected printer still is right and driver is still right.

Many thanks. I chose to take the install driver option. This was somewhat difficult for me as a relative novice but it is done and it is working now.Clearly the driver had not installed properly when I upgraded Ubuntu.
This has been really helpful and I hope as a new member of the community I can some day help others with problems.
