Can't connect with SSH if not logged into gnome

I have a normal karmic installation with openssh-server.
However I cannot connect if I haven't logged in via graphic login.
How to fix this?

I think I solved my own prob .. happens a lot.
It's connected through WLAN so no connection when in login-screen..
