safecom SWLP-54108 wireless problem

hi guys. i have a safecom SWLP-54108 wireless card in my pc but i cant connect it to my wireless. every time i try it doest connect it just say enter password again then it freezes when i try again, sometimes it shows what wireless connections i have and other time it doesnt. really need help. this was destined for upstairs but i cant get the wireless connected to place the pc upstairs. thanks in advance peeps. :)

Please post the outputs of the commands here and any relevant errors/replies of the commands you might get.

I had a problem with the applet keep asking me for password and the sollution was to choose a wpa2 personal password. The network manager applet defaulted to wpa1 every time and my router setup was wpa1/2 so I thought wpa1 would work but it didn't.
