got a buddies computer i just put ubuntu on, tried installing printer canon mp620, everything seems to work including the printer, both the computer and printer show messages that the job was finished and completed, they both seem to be talking to each other but when both look done i dont have a page. ive printed a test page directly from the printer but when i try from the pc, no page,


any ideas

Try opening your browser and navigate to http://localhost:631/

It's a graphical representation of CUPS that works right in your browser (how cool is that!). Click on Administration and enter your computer's password (it's not a web site, no one else can see it, don't worry) to add or configure your printer from there.
