installation problems

hi
i installed ubuntu after windows 7 crashed, it worked once but when i rebooted i get , no such partiton and the grub rescue prompt, it doesnt boot from the ubuntu live cd i just get the error every time, need help as i have no experience with ubuntu, i loved the feel of it when i used it, have tried windows 7 rescue disc which fixes errors but when i restart comp it goes straight to grub rescue, thanks in advance

If you have access to the internet from another computer, download a copy of systemrescue CD. It will fix your grub problems.

I know there is a way to do it from the Ubuntu CD, but I am not where I can get access to what I need.

For systemrescue CD, check the users guide on-line, it has instructions on how to rebuild your GRUB boot loader.
