Stuck in a blizzard so I decided to update my laptop at a hotel.
The update stopped with an error. Didn't pay attention to it. Next hotel on the trip, wicd came up with a pop up window stating "wicd needs to access your network cards" requiring a password. Trys to connect but fails - no ip obatained.
I have purged the wicd program and reinstalled. Same result.
Now I'm in AZ without a working laptop, but I have golf clubs.
