Hello, I'm a total newbie in Ubuntu, I have it installed for 2 days now and It's unique.

I'm trying to get my cube desktop set up, but I've encountered one problem. I did set up the cube, my desktops spin around like a cube, when I do a ctrl + alt + left/right it spins. But I can only view the cube from one side and not like a 3D object in the space. Please could You guys tell me what should I fix, so it would work.

Install compiz-config-setting manager, go to System -> Admin -> Synaptic search for compiz-config and install it.

Then from the menus for the cube (System -> Prefs -> Compiz Config/Visual Effects), look for the zoom option inside the 3D cube. That one will make the screen zoom out and you will be able to better see the cube. Also, use Ctr+Alt + L Mouse on the desktop and drag left/right.

do you have at least 4 desktops?
right click bottom right hand corner - preferences - columns 4.

Ctrl+Alt+left arrow just quickly changes to another desktop. If you want to slowly rotate your cube, press Ctrl+Alt+left mouse button and then move the mouse.
