Hello

Can I upgrade my current version of FF (3.5.7) to FF 3.6 without uninstalling it first?

I have Ubuntu 9.10.

You can uninstall your installed firefox using Synaptic Package Manager. Don't worry you'll not lose your profile/plugins/addons because .mozilla is saved in home directory.

It's highly recommended to install firefox from http://mozilla.com Have a look at this post to install Firefox / Thunderbird in Ubuntu. (http://surferzworld.com/?p=193)

If you don't like to uninstall firefox, you can install it using the above mentioned link, but it'll show you two firefox browsers 3.5.7 and 3.6.
