Hi all! Today I downloaded the newest version of ubuntu. We have got two laptops, one with vista, one with windows7. Ubuntu did properly install only with Vista. What can I do with the Windows7-one?
Thanks

It should be the same with Windows 7, as with Vista. Here's a good set of instructions to follow, or double check your install...

Exactly what happened with the one that did not "properly" install? Were there any errors? How did you go about the installation?

Did you install on an ext3 or ext4 file system?
I had troubles too when installing on ext4 after boot and update.
I'm actually typing this in Ubuntu 9.10 on a netbook with Windows7 ultimate installed.
