hi,
I installed ubuntu 9.10 in english on a desktop pc. other users of that machine need to use it in other languages, and I was wondering if it is possible to install translations of specific programs like banshee, digikam, etc. and how to do it.
thanks for any help you could give me.

Try system > admin > language support. You'll need to log out and log in for the changes (in windows and menus) to take effect.

Also, for directions/understanding, you could always try the 'man' (no quotes) command in terminal.

As an example, if I want to learn more about blackjack, the game:

man blackjack
