I am using BT4 and when i try to connect to a public network, i am asked to enable encryption.

To do so and connect, I need to enter the WPA for the network.
Now the problem is that this is a public network and no password is needed for connection. Windows connects to it automatically.

How do I go about establishing the connection ? Without hacking it of course ;)

Is there a way I can connect without entering the WPA ?

Thanks ! All help is appreciated.

Might be hard to get someone here that is familar with the Back Track distro. You could try their forums. I have BackTrack in a virtual box so have never tried to connect to a public wifi. There are a lot of options to connect so maybe if you just explore them you can find a way to connect without encryption.
