Easiest way to download youtube videos? I want them to be able to play by just clicking on them on my netbook (UNR) and drag and drop into iTunes (Win7)

Is this possible and EASY?

I generally just move the file out of the /tmp folder. I don't know if that will be playable in iTunes though.

There are a few add-ons for Firefox that will do it. When I was still running Windows XP as my main OS, I used Video DownloadHelper. It would download the video, then convert it to an .avi file. The add-on linked above is probably better, since it doesn't seem to require converting to .avi format.

sudo apt-get install ffmpeg

then you can convert to OGV instead, on linux using video download helper.

You can get ffmpeg for windows too, but... that's another thread. ;)
