View Full Version : [ubuntu] About Restore Point & backup for Ubuntu 9.10 !

Hello,

I'm a new user for Ubuntu, i like it , any one please help me to that how can i point to last know good configuration of Ubuntu 9.10 and easily how can i backup the full operating System, In Windows Xp i use Acronis, is there any application for Ubuntu like Acronis but freeware.

Acronis will work for Linux as well as for Windows. I've used it to create images of both systems. You'll need to have an Acronis CD to boot from, however...

I have Acronis, latest version, and when I tried to use it to back up Karmic, it was unable to read the filesystem. Comments on the Acronis forum indicated that it does not (yet) support Ext4 filesystems.
