Hello,

I have received several old computers from old generations to prehistoric ages (P-I and P-II). I was thinking to transform few of them into jukeboxes (headless) radio and shoutcast, and give the rest to an organism.

What / how would you install those old PC?

I was thinking a sort of mpd + lirc
but I haven't any display and mpd has no festival to say what it is playing or sort of vocal selection with lirc , or I am wrong about mpd and its features ...

Here is one or 2 like that, that have a screen.

Happy Tux
Cheers

Hmm, I would get a new router, set up an ltsp server and the old machines as clients doing some folding at home.

not sure how to do what you want to do.....

thank you

I was thinking to use those streams http://bbcstreams.com/ and to make a bit jukebox + use all the shoutcast, for a radio ... no? with headless, festival + lirc to select which station
