Sometimes I play around with online security tests, and I just ran across this one that shows my os, Xubuntu 8.04, and some live cds I tried to be like sifters lol! Open ports and all.....These tests have to be bogus right?

Just ran the test. Using sidux here. It didn't appear to know which OS I was using. Didn't find any open ports and of course no infections. It did say my browser wasn't very private...probably because I keep cookies enabled.

We have scanned your system for open ports and for ports visible to others on the Internet. As a rule an open port means your computer is vulnerable to attacks by crackers. They gain access to your computer and its files through these open ports.

Warning!
The test found visible port(s) on your system: 135, 137, 138, 139
