Im on the market for a new super portable laptop with good all around performance and have narrowed my choices... I dont need it for lots of gaming just for heavy multitasking. Compiz will be on the computer but as far as I know all these graphics cards should be ok... But which one to choose?

Is Compiz not going to be discontinued by the release of Gnome 3?

Why Studio over Inspiron?

Check it out:

better processor, cheaper, graphics card debatable ( Nvidia tendancy to melt http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-9983840-1.html something my family experienced first hand ) same specs otherwise

Uhmm I have heard no news on this. Compiz is still being worked on and no plans to discontinue it are being made.

I recommend checking out one of the smaller laptops from System76. I have a Pangolin which is one of the larger laptops, but they have several smaller laptops that may suit your needs. You can't beat the support, and the prices are VERY comparable to others. Plus they only deal in Linux which is nice.

They also have a message forum here on Ubuntu Forums if you'd like to ask questions to those running these smaller laptops or Thomas who works with System76 and frequents the forum daily.

Just another suggestion --
