Hi all,
I have been running my Eee PC with UNR 9.10 and am quite happy. The install is on a 4GB SD card. Any way I am getting fed up of having to press escape to chose the SD card at boot so I go for the full install from a USB.
The install goes OK. But after the install there is a big update required. I uninstall Evolution because I am going to use Thunderbird and Lightning.
Then I do the update:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
At the end there is a window telling me I need to restart. So I do.
Restart looks OK. I get a log-in screen and log in.
Sadly it goes a bit pear-shaped after that. The desktop never appears, no icons, task-bars just a console, with no window surrounds, in the top left of the screen.
Interestingly the console only works if I have the mouse over it.
I guess there must be some logs I can look at but I don't know where.
Any help greatly appreciated.
