View Full Version : [SOLVED] Installation of UBUNTU from / within Winxp

Please help me to install UBUNTU from / within win xp. I have downloaded ISO from site & burn in to CD. Ubantucan start but can not install. It also hangs if we start from cd live cd option.

My machine conf. is P-IV,2.3mhz, 40+30GBHDD, 512MB RAM.

Did you check md5sum (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM) before burning iso and check disc integrity (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/CDIntegrityCheck?action=show&redirect=CDIntegrityCheck) after burning?Burn iso on lower possible speed.

try a USB boot. i find the usb to be a lot faster.

a good "in Windows" tool to use is Unetbootin (http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/)
