I'm trying to install Ubuntu from a LiveCD (ubuntu-9.10-desktop-i386) to dual-boot in an existing XP system. For everything on the LiveCD menu it will process for a minute and then go to a black screen and if a press any button I'll see the following error: ERROR: Unable to find a medium containing a live file system. I've verified that the disk is valid on another PC, so the issue seems to be my hardware. From searching the forums I suspect that my dvdrom (Lite On DH-20A4P-04) is not being mounted. What can I do to mount the dvdrom so that I can complete the install. (This is my first Linux install, so specific commands would be helpful). Thanks!
