Hi, I'm very new to linux stuff and this is my first time installing on a Sun V20Z Server.

I had installed Ubuntu 9.10 Server successfully, once I boot up it stuck at the login page. I did some google search and found out by pressing CRTL, ALT, F1 at the same time , but it doesn't seem to do anything for me.

I had booted few times but still no luck. Your help is appreciated.

My System:
Sun V20Z
Mem: 16GB
HD1: 146GB Ultra SCSI
HD2 146GB Ultra SCSI
CDROM

Thanks,
Angkor

I tried earlier it still come to the same login screen. I also noticed when the OS about to load , i got the following error:

GNB=no OS.. I keep pressing the ESC but it doesn't do anything. Later, approx 20-30 seconds, than I started to load the OS and I see the stuck login screen.

Any other suggestion I would try?

Thanx

Ok I was to login it is my keyboard issue since it is on KVM switch. I directly conneted the keyboard directly to the system.

The only problem the ESC doesn't seem to take me the the grub menu. Is there other command I can try?
