View Full Version : [ubuntu] ubuntu 9.10 dead on startup

Hi,
I installed ubuntu 9.10 (64-bit) on my new machine, and just did an update. after update i reboot my machine and ubuntu is totally dead on startup, even I can not get into GRUB menu by pressing ESC.

Any ideas?

As well as what's the error.

Boot a ubuntu CD and see if you can get at the partitions.

I can not see any errors, the screen just went black nothing else. But I saw some text on the screen, when I was pressing ESC key, but it's gone 2 fast, I couldnt exactly see what it was saying. I did saw a word "blocked", other things just gone too fast. After installation finished it was totally okay. It won't boot up since it is updated. I dont know why.
