ok this is a tuffy :)
i have a toshiba t2130cs
75mhz cpu
16mb ram
4.6 gb hdd
floppy drive (no cd)
i want to install linux for my 4 y/o daughter so she can use it to play with paint programs, any ideas guys?

btw it has to have a gui and be easy to install

Does it have USB ports? If so, try an external hard drive to use the cd that you've written the ISO to. Other than that, I'm not sure you can mount an ISO image on a floppy, but someone else may know a trick!

Check out Xubuntu, it's a version of Ubuntu for older computers (uses Xfce instead of Gnome).

16 MB ram ? -- yikes !!

6.06 needs 48MB of memory for GUI (to display windows)

Even 4.10 needed 32Mb of RAM.

I guess you'll have to look at puppy linux or Damn Small Linux (DSL and puppy, from memory were available on floppy)
