Guys,
I installed Thunderbird 2 from synaptics. But I realised there is newer version of Thunderbird that is version 3. How can I upgrade it? :?:

You can install it from the Mozilla PPA:

Very simple, try ubuntuzilla (http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/ubuntuzilla/index.php?title=Main_Page) you can install any desired package firefox, thunderbird and seamonkey without any problem.

Yeah, even I've used your link to install thunderbird but daily PPA is quite annoying.
I mean need to download something daily:p

yea, that's the whole reason for having the ubuntuzilla ppa - it only does official mozilla releases, not nightly trunk builds.
