I am trying to install ubuntu 9.0.4 to my server as a production setup. However, as soon as I start installation, it fails with some error like "5.709014 error..." etc...
Then i downloaded the desktop edition, if i hit install ubuntu same happens with the desktop version. If I hit "try ubuntu without changes to your computer" it loads the desktop. Then if i click "Install" icon on the desktop the install starts and successfully installs the desktop edition.
I have a Q6600 dual core cpu, 8gb ram, 500 gb hd. I have tried 9.0.4 64 bit server and desktop versions with this hardware.
Anyone has any suggestions what might be happening?
