hi=)
i have a problem, i instaled evryting and it woorked, and it came up a window "you need to activate your video card driver" after that i needed to reboot, now the skreen is all black

any one i have googled some but cant find the right answer, i tryed to get in the ACPI but cant in the boot?

What video card? What version of *buntu? What "everything" did you already try?

video car: ati radeon 4850. ubuntu: the newest one (9.10?) i have re-instaled id and did the same and the same hapend-lol.

I've never had much luck with ATI cards. This appears to say you need to install the fglrx driver:

and this looks intriguing -- I would try it:

I would search in the "multimedia & video" forum and see whether there is more guidance there. Also check ATI's support site for Linux driver and configuration information.

well thnx for the help its cinda annoiing to try to start and use the ubuntu when i cant even get the main desctop. im going to re-install ubuntu and try it witout activating the ati drivers, until i find a selution that woorks. i tryed to go to the (recovery mode) but codent whrite in my password, the user name whent well but the password dident woork....
