Hey everyone! I just installed Ubuntu for the first time and need a little extra help.

Like about everyone who does install UNR I wanted to go back to the default desktop. I followed some simple directions, took Maximus and Netbook Launcher off of startup preferences and then typed "gconf-editor" in terminal and used the menu to enable the nautelus option "show_desktop".

The desktop is now functioning properly and the annoying netbook menu is no longer coming up, but I cant figure out how to add a normal menu to my bar.
Thank you very much for any help in advance.

Jacob

Right click in an empty space in the panel -> Add to Panel -> Main Menu or Menu Bar, whichever you prefer.

Done!

Sorry for posting :/ The deal was the the "Window List" was moving automatically to maximum left and I couldn't get the add to "Add to Panel" prompt until I deleted it.

Thank you very much :)
