i got a 16 gb flash drive for my birthday, and i installed ubuntu 8.10 on it. 8.10 because it has the proprietary drivers that i need for my wireless card. i installed lxde so that i could run it faster. is there a way to completely remove gnome without ruining any of the keyrings or such? i saw Ubuntu Forums - View Single Post - kde only (http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=226502&postcount=2) link when i was interested in kde. kde doesnt work on my machine, but i thought that this might work for this too. what can i do? or do i just have to leave gnome there and only use lxde?
