The best time to be rid of the annoying recovery partition win7 installs on your machine is before install.
Use a live cd to create a single ntfs partition with gparted. Install win7 on that partition. You will end up with win7 all on C:/, and stop MS from wasting a primary partition.
Don't even ask how to remove it after install. I'm sure it's a nasty hack.
