Linux mint?

I'm looking into switching to Linux Mint, so I'm looking for all the info I can find before I take the plunge.

- Can it be installed in a dual boot with Vista, and if so is it almost automatic like with Ubuntu?

- Does it run smoothly with Dell Studio laptops, is it even suited for laptops or more for desktops?

- Are there huge disadvantages to it? I read a few reviews, but they were greatly positive.

same thing as ubuntu or kubuntu just that it has mint addons and also multimedia codecs installed. If you have encountered grub problems in ubuntu distros, you will find them in mint as well. I came back after trying ubuntu 9.10. Not bad but I rather not see another ubuntu clone.
