Blank icons after wakeup from suspend

Upon wake up from suspend mode, ubuntu shows blank buttons. This is present on login screen, menu and all active buttons.See attached image. All buttons are actually working.This is issue with 9.10 as 9.05 wake up from suspend worked fine....Thanks for help.

As the problem persist, here is another screen capture I was able to make randomly "hit a luck" button. You can skype and most of the icons missing. Perhaps it helps to guide me to the right path to fix this problem. Thank you
