I currently have my desktop setup with two displays, one of them being my living room tv that I run Boxee on. My problem is that all the audio runs through the same speakers preventing me from listening to music or gaming at the same time as when Boxee is in use.

I would like to know if it's possible to split the audio so that an application of my choosing only outputs sound through my headphones.

I was thinking it would be possible with some of the controls in pulse, but if it is I cannot figure it out.

Please let me know if anyone has achieved anything like this.

Thanks in advance.

Moved to Multimedia & Video.

I think this can be done with the correct alsa config, but I'm not sure the details and I am sure that it depends on your soundcard(s).

Is it possible with on-board audio? I have an ASUS board.
