I have a Dell Studio Desktop and a Dell Monitor. My video card is a ATI Radeon HD 3450. I'm running Ubuntu 9.10.
My problem is that my monitor's screen goes black (powersave) in just about 30 seconds. I've looked for the options to change the settings but I've not found it yet. Selecting "System>Preferences>Display" gives the following message:
It appears that your graphics driver does not support the necessary extensions to use this tool. Do you want to use your graphics driver vendor's video tool instead?
Selecting Yes gives me an ATI configuration screen (new in 9.10?) but no option to keep the monitor from going dark. Where is the setting I'm looking for?
