Hi all,
I installed Karmic recently, and it appears the new software updater is not working correctly. I see the bug on sun icon in the tray, click it, and software update opens. Right now it says there are 28 updates available, and successfully lists them along with their descriptions.
However, when I click "Install Updates", the status message briefly says "Loading cache" then switches to "Getting the list of updates", then it just returns to the upgrade list. In short, nothing useful happens.
I can run
sudo apt-get upgrade and all the upgrades install successfully, but I'd really like to be able to do it from the system tray as I have become accustomed to.
Any ideas?
