Chipset of motherboard

Hi,

do i need to install some chipsets in ubuntu after first installation of ubuntu? In Windows XP it is necessary. Do I need the same in ubuntu?

I'm going to risk it and assume you are talking about chipset drivers.

No you do not need to install it or any other drivers under normal circumstances.

Does everything work ?? (Sound, Network, etc) If so, do nothing. Just enjoy Ubuntu and welcome to the community.

If not, tell us what the problem is and give us as much meaningful information as you can including the version you are running and your hardware specs.
