Here's my problem. I have a server running ubuntu 9.10 server edition. The system has a built in tv-out powered by an Intel 82865G chip. I have a television connected to that, and it works fine in console mode, but when X loads, the screen starts rolling vertically (a 10 second video clip showing exactly what I mean can be seen at http://kjsr.net/jmonitor.avi).
