Touch Interface

So i am building a kitchen PC I am specking out a touch screen to hang on the wall... but what i am looking for here is a user interface that looks like or can look like the iPhone interface... I need this pc to be easy to use for my wife... all i need to do is get to our calender email a couple websites and play music those kind of things

Hm that sounds cool! I'm new to linux in general but my friends out of state had somthing like this except they also had a recipe program that kept recipes, you could download more from websites and print off grocery lists. It was really nifty looking, They were using win xp though so idk if it works on ubuntu.
