Upgrading Graphic card.

I have a Shuttle with Ubuntu 9.10 on it. It has integrated video, and now I want to upgrade it with a Geforce N7600GS 256mb card, so I can use xbmc (now it's WAY too slow).

Does Ubuntu automatically recognice the new card so it's plug-and-play? or do I have to do something first?

I don't want to reinstall just for adding a card. So wanted to ask first!

Ubuntu should automatically recognize the card although you might have to install the proprietary drivers by going to:

System >> Administration >> Hardware Drivers
