I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 on an EeePC 1005HA (I installed the Netbook Remix packages after installing the original) and I when playing sound through the headphones, I can only hear anything through the left one. My sound settings show the stereo mix slider as being in the middle (if I slide it to the right it goes silent).
