Heya all,

I want to know how to possibly remove the wireless and sound icons from the notification area in gnome panel.

But I would only want to do that if there is a way to show the volume percentage on Conky, like there is for the wireless.

i know you can remove the whole information area but this will remove the networking icon and other icons like if you have vlc or messenger open

Nope. I just want to remove things I can put on conky; i.e. wireless, volume, gmail, etc. I'd want to keep running programs like pidgin visible though.
