Hi,

I've been using Ubuntu since 7.04 and have updated to each new version. This is the first time I've had any problems (there's always a first time, I guess).

The problem is simple to describe, no audio. but having read Crimsun's sticky on this no audio issue with 9.10, to be honest, I'm none the wiser as to what to do. For sure, that's merely a reflection of my ignorance.

The motherboard is an Aopen AX4SG with a Ac97 sound chip/codec. Would this be a driver issue?

What I need at my level of knowledge is a simple step by step solution, if that's possible.

Any takers? TIA.
