Hello everybody,
I didn't know where to put such problem, is it Wine related or Ubuntu related or even Win app related. As same problem doesn't appear on MacOS in similar configuration with wine too, so I suppose it is somehow Ubuntu related, or maybe Gnome.
I'm on Karmic Koala, and try to run MetaTrader 4 on it, actually two instances, but it shouldn't be an issue.
It didn't happen at beginning, only after some time from installation (don't was it some updates or something else what caused this issue).
So when I start MetatTrader, it launches process of it, but not any window appears. It even can make sound if it has to, but no window and any way to interact wit application. Only kill.
Workaround I have found is, to reinstall over old installation MT and then it can be launched, and no only from setup script. Typically only once. Sometimes just reinstall doesn't help I have to remove manually MT files and then reinstall.
Is there some ideas what could be wrong?
I have tried both wine and wine1.2 packages, same problem, only with wine1.2 MT functionality is a bit better.
